BOF – The Business of Fashion Podcast
With over 200 episodes and counting, Founder, Imran Amed and Editor-at-Large Tim Blanks delve inside fashion. The pair brings conversations with the industry’s leading experts, covering the highs and lows of the fashion world. They explore thoughtful editorial stories and fashion oriented perspectives in a fresh way. One listener put “I felt like I was at a cocktail party and finally ended up in a very personal real conversation”, which captures the essence of the intimate conversations perfectly.
One of our favourite interviews? Gyweneth Paltrow’s journey to Goop.
Glow Journal
It wouldn’t be a podcast list without just a touch of beauty. Gemma Watts, beauty writer extraordinaire, brings us conversations with some of the beauty industry’s biggest names. Picking the brains of CEO’s, founders and creative minds behind cult-favourite brands. Gemma provides us with a VIP pass behind the scenes into the daily life of beauty business, from Elle Ferguson of Elle Effect to Zoe Foster-Blake, founder of Go-To. Gemma covers makeup, skin and body all under one roof.
Offline The Podcast
One of my favourite podcasts to date. Host & founder, Alison Rice talks with the incredible woman behind some of our favourite Australian Instagram accounts. She seeks to explore the concept of true self, and holds space for the incredible women we have come to know and love on social media. Alison pulls the curtain back on ‘life behind the filter’ and encourages us to join her on the internal journey of self- work. The podcast is expansive and raw, Alison doesn’t shy away from hard hitting questions. If you loved our Q&A with Hannah – get listening to Offline.
Fashion in Focus.
From fashion and content events comes New Zealand’s own Fashion in Focus. Showroom22’s Murray Bevan and journalist India Leishman host a series of conversations with leaders in the industry. With the focus currently on homegrown fashion, the podcast is ever so relevant. Bevan and Lewisham talk about the unique perspective and challenges Kiwis face, being at the bottom of the world, yet very much leading the pack, talking with our favourite brands. The pair also host designers, stylists and director’s, with one of our favourite episodes; former Gucci Model and founder of Monarc, Ella Drake.
Second Life
Struggling with your current career, or needing a dose of inspiration? Co-Founder of WhoWhatWear and host Hilary Kerr talks with inspiring woman from all walks of life. The focus; proving that making a pivot in career can come at any age. It’s easy to find a common thread with Kerr’s guest regardless of age; talking about your first job, feeling stuck, to finding your new place in the world. The podcast opened my eyes to many incredible women and companies that I hadn’t known before.
