The brainchild of New Zealand-made haircare brand Chloe Zara, this new innovation, called the Chloe Zara Scalp Facial, is an at-home hair experience designed to nourish and nurture the scalp.
Using the same principles of face care (and dubbed the ‘skinification of hair care), the Chloe Zara scalp facial uses similar self-care steps – exfoliation, hydration, nourishment, and protection.
In keeping with a growing awareness of how important the scalp is when it comes to overall hair health, the scalp facial can be a game-changer when it comes to helping get rid of build-up, reduce inflammation, and promote strong, glossy hair.
Boasting 20 years in the salon industry as a hairstylist, founder Chloe Zara Munro amassed a wealth of knowledge about what it takes to create healthy hair.
“As a hair stylist, I would often see scalp issues arise, particularly during the change of season or due to product build-up. Just like the pores of our skin, if hair follicles are clogged and irritated, the hair follicles can’t function properly and can’t promote healthy hair growth.
“I struggled to find an effective natural treatment that focused on this specifically.
