GHD HOW TO: Party girl chic waves

by mera

If ever there was a time to glam up your hair look, it’s this party season. As well as having launched the ghd Grand-Luxe limited edition collection (so festive!), ghd are offering a handy five-step tutorial on how to achieve glamorous, party girl chic waves.

Step 1.

Prep your roots with ghd pick me up root lift spray to create volume, then add ghd bodyguard heat protection spray to the rest of the hair.

Step 2.

Blow dry with ghd helios + ceramic vented round brush size 3, lifting up the root area with the brush for a fuller look.

Step 3.

Once dry, apply ghd curly ever after to give longevity to the curls you’ll be creating in the next step.

Step 4.

Use ghd platinum+ to create your curls. For big, loose curls use bigger sections of hair, and for defined curls work in smaller segments. Hold the styler horizontally, turn 180 degrees and gently glide the styler down.

Step 5.

Once cool, brush the curls using ghd oval dressing brush to form waves, giving the front section a gentle tease to provide a more fuller look.

And voilà… glamorous waves perfect for the party season!

The new ghd Grand-Luxe limited edition collection is inspired by the opulence of the 1920s and its Art Deco design. The collection features best-selling ghd best-selling tools in a colour palette of opulent champagne gold accompanied by a dramatic red velvet vanity case and accessories.

It’s the perfect gift for your hair for this season and beyond (as well as a handy hint for anyone wanting to leave you a gift under the tree this year!).

As well as some of the cult-classic favourites; the platinum+, gold, helios and for the first time ever; the glide hot brush presented in this stunning, festive colouring, there’s also some limited-edition Core tool gift sets featuring the unplugged, flight and creative curl tools to add to the options available.

Boasting technology such as Dual-Zone, Ultra-Zone and Aeroprecis, you can embrace frizz-free shine no matter the occasion; from sleek and straight under the mistletoe to big and bouncy waves during the countdown.
