Let’s Talk BROWS

Eyebrows have the power to completely change up your look by adding definition and length to your face. No matter the type of brow you were born with, there’s a few ways you can switch up your brow look whether it may be soap brows (current brow-trend) or sharp and bold brows. After all, eyebrows are one of the most prominent facial features on your face as they help accentuate the eyes, shape the face, and are also a non-verbal form of communication.

We’ve all been through the stages of drawing on sharpie brows or plucking your brows too thin, but now the trend is thick and full brows so we can stay far, far away from the tweezers! Although not all of us are blessed with full brows (I definitely wasn’t), there are products out there that can mimic the appearance of thicker brows – so let me introduce you to a few new products to upgrade your brow routine.

Napolean Perdis, Australia’s prestige makeup brand has released a long-lasting and budge-proof Fixated Brow Styling Soap to help you achieve that soap-brow trend or to simply shape and hold your brow. This soap has an ingredient inside called Sorbitol, which keeps your brow hairs nourished for a softer feel and look. (And if you’ve tried using regular soap for your brows, you know that it makes your brows feel heavy and sticky!)

To use Fixated Brow Styling Soap, spray your spoolie brush with water or setting spray and load spoolie with the soap product and brush upwards/away to extend.

On the note of soap brows, to complete this look after using the Fixated Brow Styling Soap you can add definition to your brows by using the new Framed Liquid Brow Pen by Napolean Perdis, this will create natural and feathered looking brows to mimic the appearance of hairs. This Brow Pen features a super-fine angled tip made of a buildable ink formula for precise and controlled application. It’s also formulated with smudge-proof ink to ensure your brows stay all day. Use this pen with a light hand from the base of your brow and apply short strokes/flicks in the direction of your natural hair growth (upwards for soap brows). This pen also comes in eight different shades to suit any hair colour.

To cut down my makeup routine I usually go to the salon to get my eyebrows tinted, however, I don’t always have the time to keep up with my regular appointments. Thankfully, Ardell has released an at-home brow tint kit to make our lives a little more convenient. Skip the salon and tint your brows at the comfort of your home whenever you like. Ardell’s Brow Tints are created using water activated, semi-permanent dye and formulated with extracts of camellia leaf, ginger root, and horsetail fern to nourish the brow hairs.

These tints come in four shades so pick and choose from Light Brown, Medium Brown, Dark Brown, and Soft Black. Once you’ve chosen your shade, all you have to do is mix the powder with the activator, apply, wait and wipe to reveal beautifully defined brows that last for up to two weeks.
